📋 Description

• Build and lead a high-performing team of data scientists, machine learning scientists, and experimental engineers • Drive alignment between AI advancements and organizational goals • Lead cross-functional collaboration with business, analytical, and technical teams • Explore, develop, and iteratively test advanced AI/ML models for strategic insights and business solutions • Champion experimentation, rapid prototyping, and data-driven validation • Oversee model performance monitoring, drift detection, retraining strategies, and issue resolution • Evaluate the strategic impact and business value of AI/ML prototypes and production models • Reinforce peer review, reproducible experimentation, and responsible AI principles such as fairness and explainability • Mentor and coach data scientists, machine learning scientists, and experimental engineers • Establish agile-like experimentation, documentation, retrospectives, and process improvements • Maintain documentation for experimental design, model development, and data usage to ensure reproducibility and compliance • Partner with business leaders and translate complex scientific concepts into clear narratives for data-driven decisions

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related quantitative field; or 5+ years of equivalent professional experience • 2+ years of experience leading highly analytical and scientific teams through data science or machine learning • 5+ years of hands-on experience developing and validating AI/ML solutions and transitioning models from research to pilot or POC • 5+ years of experience conducting quantitative analytics • Preferred: advanced degree (Masters/PhD) in a quantitative, computational, or scientific field • Preferred: 2+ years managing cross-functional research collaborations or academic/industry partnerships focused on AI/ML development • Preferred: 5+ years with NumPy, Pandas, Matplotlib, scikit-learn, SHAP, LIME, Statsmodels, and PyMC3 • Preferred: experience with Hugging Face Transformers, SpaCy, XGBoost, or LightGBM • Preferred: 5+ years productionizing and monitoring AI models with MLOps frameworks such as MLflow or Kubeflow • Preferred: 5+ years in Agile-like test-and-learning environments • Preferred: 5+ years of healthcare and healthcare data experience • Preferred: 2+ years implementing responsible AI practices • Experience with deep learning architectures and TensorFlow, PyTorch, and Keras • Experience debugging ML/AI models and enhancing predictive performance • Experience with hypothesis-driven development, rapid prototyping, and iterative model refinement • Experience applying product development lifecycle methodologies to data-centric products • Exposure to software design patterns, microservices, distributed computing, and container orchestration • Proficiency in SQL for data exploration and feature engineering • Experience with statistical analyses including hypothesis testing, experimental design, regression, clustering, time series, anomaly detection, and sequence analysis • Experience developing supervised predictive models and applying unsupervised learning techniques • In-depth knowledge of modern deep learning models and architectures • Hands-on expertise with generative AI, prompt engineering, reasoning strategies, agentic frameworks, function calling, and RAG patterns • Demonstrated expertise in large-scale prompt engineering projects • Excellent communication, collaboration, mentorship, and team leadership skills • Ability to perform the stated sedentary physical requirements, use a keyboard, and communicate clearly
