📋 Description

• Obtain materials, supplies, and equipment from suppliers at the lowest cost consistent with GPO requirements, quality, reliability, and urgency • Review purchase requisitions for reasonableness, completeness, and compliance with financial protocols • Prioritize urgent medical and patient-care-related orders • Research product availability, alternative suppliers, value analysis, and user references • Meet with vendor sales representatives regarding products, proposals, and negotiated pricing • Obtain competitive bids and negotiate prices, purchase terms, and equipment life-cycle costs • Prepare Excel cost analysis reports covering cost of goods, rebate structures, and discounting levels • Advise department heads on alternatives to requested products • Expedite delayed orders and obtain acceptable substitutes • Manage the electronic capital budget process and coordinate approvals • Support supply chain initiatives and understand inventory management and accounts payable operations • Negotiate purchase agreements incorporating requisition requirements and department directives

🎯 Requirements

• 4 or more years of applicable work experience • High School Diploma or GED (Required) • Knowledge of Materials Management Information Systems • Data analysis skills • Advanced Microsoft Office proficiency • Ability to negotiate terms and conditions with suppliers • Ability to effectively communicate with a vast array of customers • Strong written and verbal communication skills • Attention to detail • Ability to operate computer programs and software • Ability to communicate effectively with audiences in person and in electronic formats • Ability to make independent decisions • Ability to work collaboratively in close quarters with peers and varying interruptions • Ability to remain stationary for prolonged periods • Ability to adapt, change priorities quickly, and meet deadlines • No travel required
