📋 Description

• Own applied RL programs from ambiguous customer problems through deployed improvement loops • Understand workflows and business stakes, define measurable outcomes, and create research plans • Build environments, evaluations, baselines, and reward signals • Run RL, distillation, and other post-training experiments against real baselines • Develop agent systems involving tool use, memory, recovery, long horizons, and human oversight • Diagnose whether gains or failures arise from the model, data, harness, inference, or infrastructure • Carry successful experiments into deployment and measure customer outcomes • Decide which artifacts should become reusable environments, recipes, data loops, platform capabilities, or shared research • Work directly with customer researchers, engineers, leaders, users, and research partners • Communicate deployment and adoption decisions to research, engineering, and product teams

🎯 Requirements

• Relevant experience in customer-embedded technical work, research engineering, technical founding, applied ML consulting with real build ownership, or end-to-end post-training programs • Comfortable working with senior external teams and connecting experimental evidence to business decisions • Hands-on experience building and debugging model-training, post-training, agent, evaluation, or closely adjacent experimental loops • Strong experimental judgment, including meaningful baselines, careful trace inspection, and clear failure attribution • Strong Python skills and ability to build artifacts that other researchers and engineers can run, inspect, and extend • Comfortable owning ambiguous problems and keeping partners and teammates updated • Evidence of exceptional work through publications, open-source systems, benchmarks, or shipped products
