📋 Description

• Execute and manage day-to-day deliverables supporting Primergy's utility-scale solar PV and BESS development pipeline • Own and provide inputs on detailed CapEx estimating, EPC pricing, pricing trend data compilation, constructability reviews, and construction risk registries • Develop preliminary construction schedules • Compile EPC RFP packages and support bidding and contracting • Coordinate EPC handoff to the construction team across active development projects nearing ready-for-construction status • Work with development, engineering, procurement, interconnection, permitting, and execution teams to commercially de-risk projects before NTP • Create and maintain project-specific CapEx estimates, OpEx forecasts, cost breakdowns, and spend schedules • Identify, document, and track construction risks and assumptions through the development lifecycle • Identify preliminary geotechnical investigation and pile load testing requirements, access constraints, construction water needs, and site constructability concerns • Lead compilation and administration of comprehensive EPC bid packages • Maintain RFI logs and coordinate responses during the RFP stage • Analyze EPC bids, identify pricing exclusions, administer bidder negotiation logs, and prepare bid comparison matrices • Maintain the cost database supporting CapEx estimates and construction timeline forecasts • Prepare construction permit lists and help incorporate requirements into EPC RFP solicitations • Flag critical-path permits to the Director of Preconstruction • Support cross-functional process improvements and efficiency initiatives • Report to the Director of Preconstruction

🎯 Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in US power markets, origination, or development • Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, or related field preferred; equivalent combination of education and experience considered • Minimum of 8 years of experience in the construction or development industry • Minimum of 4 years specifically in a preconstruction role for utility-scale solar PV and BESS projects • Hands-on experience with CapEx estimating, constructability review, and EPC bid analysis on large-scale renewable energy projects • Experience across early-stage development, constructability, EPC RFP, EPC selection, and NTP preparation • Familiarity with construction permitting processes, AHJ requirements, and permit timelines • Experience working with federal, state, and local agencies • Strong quantitative skills and experience building and maintaining cost models in Excel • Understanding of construction scheduling, critical path methodology, and budget risk • Ability to interpret civil, structural, electrical, and site design drawings • Clear written and verbal communication • Ability to manage multiple active projects • Ability to work independently and keep the Director of Preconstruction informed • Proficiency with Microsoft Office: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams • Experience with project management tools is a plus • Commercial awareness of project IRR, EPC contract structure, and financing assumptions • Ability to collaborate with engineers, contractors, and project managers • Ability to work in a remote environment using MS Teams, Zoom, and other digital tools • Honesty, integrity, personal accountability, and ownership of work product • Authorization to work in the United States is requested in the application
