• Provide comprehensive and objective analysis of the financial condition and creditworthiness of prospective healthcare borrowers, primarily medical, dental and veterinary practices • Perform ongoing due diligence on prevailing industry and market conditions • Ensure quality compliance and credit monitoring of the healthcare portfolio • Support new business development while adhering to the company’s risk appetite • Research potential customers with Practice Solution Consultants and assess alignment with products, loan structures, credit needs and risk appetite • Prepare preliminary spreads, cash flow analyses and comprehensive credit approval memos • Provide rationale for credit declines and deliver credit packages to the Executive Credit Officer • Supervise Credit Analysts and oversee BRR input, covenant setting, RAC peer review, term-sheet review and analyst analysis • Ensure staff operate within regulatory and compliance guidelines and complete required training • Assess incoming credit applications for completeness and quality of risk assessment, credit structure analysis, due diligence and credit presentation • Balance customer risk with interest-rate pricing • Approve new credits up to $500M and recommend approvals for larger exposures • Monitor and control the portfolio within approved guidelines and operating policies • Interpret and apply credit and operational risk-management strategy, including tracking approval and decline rates • Recommend changes to credit policies, underwriting templates, peer-review RAC and operating systems • Monitor past-due and overdraft reports, covenant compliance, monthly monitoring and annual reviews • Assist with default strategy in consultation with the Executive Credit Officer • Lead Credit Analysts in monitoring covenants, delinquencies, annual reviews and renewals as the team grows • Maintain compliance with state and federal regulations and bank policies • Perform other assigned duties
• Bachelor’s in Accounting, Finance, Business or related • Minimum of 7 years of experience participating in commercial lending or credit risk activities, with a specific focus on Practice Finance or healthcare lending • Ability to thoroughly identify and mitigate risk • Highly advanced credit analysis skills, including assessing personal and company financial statements, third-party business valuations, feasibility studies, CRE appraisals, industry and competitive analysis, business plans and start-up projections • Solid understanding of value-add credit structuring in a fast-paced banking environment • Strong planning and organizational skills • Ability to use personal computers and software applications including HubSpot, Sageworks, Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Primis systems and underwriting platforms • Understanding of federal regulations regarding loan applications from submission through record retention • Well-developed written, oral communication and interpersonal skills • Ability to meet physical demands including continuous stationary computer work, repetitive hand/arm use, and verbal and written communication • Regular, reliable, and predictable attendance
