📋 Description

• Lead daily operations of the hospital inpatient or outpatient coding team • Oversee workflow, staffing and performance • Promote accurate, efficient and compliant coding practices • Coach, develop and support team members • Monitor productivity and quality outcomes • Collaborate with stakeholders • Implement process improvements • Support coding policies and systems • Ensure timely account completion • Maintain effective coding operations

🎯 Requirements

• Associate degree in health information management or related field • Hospital inpatient coding proficiency with ICD-10-CM and ICD-10-PCS • Proficiency with MS-DRG and APR-DRG reimbursement methodologies • 1 year of inpatient or outpatient coding experience • RHIA, RHIT, CCA, CCS or CPC certification • Must reside in Eastern Time Zone • Bachelor’s degree in health information management or related field (preferred) • Proficiency with spreadsheets, databases, HIM coding, reimbursement and EHR systems (preferred) • Proficiency in report monitoring, data analysis and identifying trends (preferred) • 3 years of coding experience (preferred) • 1 year of management experience (preferred) • RHIA or RHIT certification (preferred) • Employment is unavailable to residents of California, Colorado, Hawaii, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Washington, or U.S. territories
