• Promote Prometheus' products and services to healthcare practitioners, staff, and product-use decision-makers • Increase company profitability and sales revenue through informed, consultative selling, customer service, and product-use conversion • Achieve customer sales objectives and contact goals across the assigned territory • Design and implement target-customer communication and productivity plans • Use telephone, email, fax, and other outbound channels to schedule and complete virtual sales presentations • Educate healthcare practitioners and staff on product and service value for patient care • Use company-approved literature, educational presentations, and product brochures to educate, communicate, and sell • Provide guidance on pricing and reimbursement; triage specialized reimbursement questions to appropriate personnel • Collaborate with Key Account Managers to maximize territory performance and customer access through institutions, labs, and draw sites • Explain direct-bill account ordering, reporting, and billing logistics • Maintain accurate contact and productivity records and track progress against sales and activity goals • Enter new customer data and update changes in the company customer database • Represent the company at local, regional, and national trade shows, conferences, and exhibits • Identify and investigate customer concerns and coordinate prompt resolution • Handle inbound calls triaged from Client Customer Service and identify optimal solutions • No supervisory responsibilities
• Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university with an emphasis in the life sciences preferred • Minimum 2 years sales experience in pharmaceutical, diagnostics and/or other related healthcare sales • Or minimum 1 year related healthcare sales experience and 1 year experience in a life science discipline • Associate’s degree in a science related program may be considered if accompanied by 5+ years of other industry related experience • Strong presentation skills • Excellent interpersonal, time management and organizational skills • Adaptable, open to change, and able to work in ambiguous situations • Ability to work on a mobile device, tablet, or computer screen and perform typing for approximately 90% of a typical working day • Ability to contribute proactively to a team environment while managing workload and priorities independently • Ability to function productively in a fast-paced, multi-tasking, entrepreneurial environment • Ability to work on telephone and computer simultaneously • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents • Ability to respond to customer, regulatory agency, and business-community inquiries or complaints • Ability to effectively present information to top management and public groups • Ability to calculate discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume • Ability to apply basic algebra and geometry • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions • Ability to interpret technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and analyze managed market strategies and contracting • Valid Driver's License with DMV evidence of good driving record • Must follow applicable Company Fleet Management Program guidelines, including annual DMV reviews • Significant ground, air, and overnight travel required; occasional weekend travel or work
