📋 Description

• Build software systems used by millions of low-income Americans • Build iOS and Android apps using Vue, TypeScript, and Capacitor • Develop server-side software using Python and Flask, backed by Postgres and Redis • Leverage AWS offerings and open-source technologies • Create reliable, scalable, and maintainable software • Communicate with team members during projects and code reviews • Contribute to engineering culture and processes as the company scales • Collaborate on project selection, solution design, and team success • Work with Product and Design to scope projects and execute innovative products • Participate in the on-call rotation • Build Medicare and Medicaid products that help users understand coverage options, identify savings opportunities, and enroll in healthcare plans • Help shape technical architecture, internal tooling, and scalable integrations with healthcare and government systems

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years of experience designing, building, shipping, and maintaining complex full-stack software • Experience with a startup environment or ability to operate effectively amid ambiguity • Experience contributing to large and impactful projects • Strong communication skills across technical and non-technical audiences • Eagerness to contribute to team discussions, design doc reviews, and code reviews • Computer science degree or equivalent fundamentals learned elsewhere • Fluency in Python and JavaScript, or willingness to learn and specialize in these languages • Nice to have: Experience with or knowledge of government services, particularly SNAP, WIC, TANF, SSI, SSDI, Medicaid, and Section 8 • Authorization to work in the United States for any employer • Background check may be conducted following a conditional offer for roles with access to confidential information
