📋 Description

• Integrate Excel sheets with databases • Manage datasets for financial reporting • Ensure database queries and updates are seamless • Provide Information Technology Center Support as a Database Integration Specialist • Support Agriculture and Food Sector clients, including USDA and USDA Agricultural Marketing Service Cotton & Tobacco Program • Modernize Excel sheets and templates involving complex formulas, charts, and financial analysis tools • Perform data cleaning, transformation, summarization, and advanced analysis • Optimize workflows for budget formulation, financial reporting, and user-fee billing and analysis • Support reporting involving cotton price statistics, revenue and collection reports, and salary/benefits tracking • Train users and document modernized Excel sheets for handover • Work with USDA Cotton & Tobacco divisions to understand spreadsheet needs and deliver customized solutions • Ensure work products are thorough, accurate, documented, and compliant with established criteria • Meet project milestones and delivery schedules

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s in Computer Science, IT, or related field • 5+ years of experience in database management • Experience integrating Excel with databases such as SQL or Access • Experience managing large datasets and structuring data for effective analysis • Experience in Information Technology, Data Science, Financial Analysis, Statistics, Computer Science, or Business Management • Strong background in financial analysis, data management, or agricultural economics relevant to the USDA AMS Cotton & Tobacco Program • Professional certifications such as Microsoft Office Specialist (MOS) Expert in Excel and CDA • Advanced Excel proficiency, including macros, VBA, complex formulas, PivotTables, VLOOKUP, INDEX/MATCH, charts, and automated reporting • Data analysis expertise for financial and agricultural data reporting • Financial management reporting experience, particularly in budget formulation and user-fee analysis • Training and documentation expertise • Database integration and automation skills • Database integration with Excel, data management, and SQL expertise • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products: Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher, and Adobe • Ideal proficiency with Excel, Access, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, Adobe Acrobat, data analytic tools, and Visio • Proficiency in project management methodologies and tools • Excellent oral and written communication skills • United States citizenship required • No visa sponsorship; H-1B and TN visa sponsorship unavailable • Subject to background checks and potentially drug testing • Subject to regulatory and mandatory training requirements
