📋 Description

• Develop and modernize Excel templates • Troubleshoot complex workbooks • Automate data entry, reporting, and analysis processes using VBA • Perform advanced data analysis, including data cleaning, transformation, and summarization • Build templates with complex formulas, charts, and financial analysis tools • Integrate Excel with databases to streamline data flow • Manage large datasets and ensure effective data structures • Generate daily, monthly, and annual statistical reports on cotton prices, user fees, and revenue • Manage Excel file versions and track changes across multiple divisions • Diagnose and fix errors in formulas, macros, and linked workbooks • Understand and optimize workflows for budget formulation, financial reporting, and user-fee billing and analysis • Work closely with USDA Cotton & Tobacco divisions to understand spreadsheet needs • Deliver customized spreadsheet solutions and ensure user satisfaction • Support modernization and training phases • Produce thorough, accurate, documented work products that meet established criteria and delivery schedules • Collaborate with firm leadership, team members, Fellows, partners, and clients

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s in IT, Computer Science, or related field • 3+ years of experience • Microsoft Office Specialist (MOS) Expert in Excel desired/required as a professional certification • Advanced Excel proficiency, including PivotTables, Power Query, VBA, macros, VLOOKUP, INDEX/MATCH, complex formulas, charts, and automated reporting • Strong data analysis and reporting skills, including data cleaning, transformation, and summarization • Experience with financial data, agricultural data, budget templates, financial modeling, cash flow analysis, and user-fee analysis • Strong background in financial analysis, data management, or agricultural economics relevant to the USDA AMS Cotton & Tobacco Program • Experience building and modernizing Excel templates • Experience with Excel Power Pivot • Experience integrating Excel with SQL or Access databases • Ability to manage large datasets and ensure proper data structure • Proficiency generating daily, monthly, and annual statistical reports related to cotton prices, user fees, and revenue • Ability to manage Excel file versions and track changes • Ability to diagnose and fix errors in formulas, macros, and linked workbooks • Understanding of budget formulation, financial reporting, user-fee billing and analysis, and USDA reporting requirements • Excellent oral and written communication skills • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher, Adobe Acrobat, Access, Outlook, data analytic tools, and Visio • Proficiency in project management methodologies and tools • U.S. citizenship required • No visa sponsorship; H-1B and TN visa sponsorship not supported • Subject to background checks and, for designated positions, drug testing • Employees are subject to regulatory and mandatory training requirements • No specific licensure required
