📋 Description

• Lead the development and implementation of statistical methodologies for a comprehensive transportation safety survey • Develop and oversee the project's statistical approach, including data collection methodologies and tools • Develop sampling plans, weighting schemes, nonresponse adjustments, and imputation procedures for missing values • Design data collection strategies ensuring diversity across race, ethnicity, age, and socioeconomic status • Organize, clean, analyze, and interpret survey data using advanced statistical techniques and software • Apply weighting procedures and conduct non-response bias analysis to validate findings • Collaborate with the Data Entry Assistant to ensure data accuracy and completeness • Prepare clear and concise statistical summaries and reports • Explain the methodological foundations and limitations of the study • Provide statistical outputs that enable informed decision-making • Collaborate with the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration and project team on a survey addressing impaired driving attitudes and behaviors • Ensure work products are thorough, accurate, documented, compliant with established criteria, and delivered according to milestones

🎯 Requirements

• Master's or Ph.D. in Statistics, Biostatistics, or a related field • Minimum of 3–5 years' experience in statistical analysis and survey research • Proficiency in statistical software such as SPSS, SAS, or R • Experience in survey research, data analysis, and applying weighting techniques • Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and time-management skills • Excellent written and verbal communication skills • Ability to design data collection methodologies, tools, and sampling plans • Ability to apply weighting procedures and conduct non-response bias analysis • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret scientific and technical reports or journals • Ability to write scopes of work, budget estimates, schedules, reports, proposals, correspondence, and technical documents • Ability to present information to top management, clients, public groups, and boards of directors • Clear vision and depth perception • Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds • Ability to interact and communicate with clients at all levels • Must understand and communicate in both written and spoken Spanish and English in the specialized field of Transportation Engineering • High level of analytical skills • Proficient with Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher, and Adobe • Advanced proficiency with Excel, Access, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word; proficiency with Adobe Acrobat, data analytic tools, and Visio • U.S. Citizenship required • No H-1B or TN visa sponsorship available • Ability to multi-task and pay close attention to detail • Must be sharp, focused, and alert during site inspections and client interactions • Must meet established milestones and delivery schedules • Background checks and drug testing may be required
