📋 Description

• Serve as an internal consultant assisting with understanding the competitive landscape for annuities • Develop and execute ongoing mixed method research programs on competitors’ products, rates, service capabilities, sales processes and strategies, technology partnerships, and operational integration capabilities • Support annuity competitive intelligence programs and projects from planning and research through packaging and disseminating insights and conclusions • Analyze competitor products and capabilities continuously using quantitative and qualitative methodologies • Create and improve product battlecards and side-by-side comparisons for competitive sales analysis, intranet use, and training • Develop reports, presentations, and data dashboards to communicate research findings and recommendations to stakeholders • Conduct Win-Loss evaluations and catalog findings • Execute ad-hoc research on competitors’ products, capabilities, and related market information • Collaborate with the Market Research Team on reciprocal projects and information sharing • Perform other assigned duties

🎯 Requirements

• 5 years of total industry experience at an annuity carrier, broker-dealer, bank, BD, or BGA in product development, sales, marketing, account management, due diligence, market research, IT, or operations • Experience at both an annuity carrier and broker-dealer, or closely engaging with the other, preferred • High familiarity with web-based client- and advisor-facing policy management or advising tools • Working technical knowledge of annuity product types and features • Familiarity with selling and servicing annuities and their integration into retirement planning • Bachelor’s degree required • Relevant advanced degrees, executive education, industry designations, or licenses preferred • Exceptional written communication and presentation skills with demonstrated ability to influence • Experience working in a dynamic and collaborative structure with multiple stakeholders • Familiarity with analysis methods in a business or academic environment • Familiarity with AI tools, their optimal applications, and limitations • Moderate analytic tool skills • Excel required • Power BI, Tableau, or similar tools preferred
