📋 Description

• Ensure the Chargemaster is consistent with coding and billing regulations and accurately represents services provided • Act as liaison between hospital ministries and the system Revenue Integrity/Chargemaster department • Research Chargemaster maintenance requests for adherence to the system standard • Respond to hospital ministry inquiries about Chargemaster issues • Train hospital ministry staff on the Chargemaster maintenance process, coding updates, and charge capture improvement • Collaborate with CDM Leads, Senior Specialists, and CDM Specialists to research and resolve requests • Use department Chargemaster tools and resources to ensure compliance • Coordinate daily Chargemaster maintenance workflow between the system and ministries • Monitor ministry alignment with the system standard Chargemaster • Document policies and procedures regarding Chargemaster maintenance and charge processes • Review clinical department charges for Chargemaster and coding compliance • Coordinate with hospital ministry, IS, Clinical Informatics, and Integration personnel on technology projects affecting charge entry, charge dictionaries, and charge interfaces

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Healthcare, Sciences, Finance, Accounting, or another related field, or equivalent education/experience • 3 years of hospital Chargemaster experience, including CDM Maintenance software • Experience with inpatient and outpatient billing requirements (UB-04) • Experience with CMS Medicare reimbursement methodology • Knowledge of CPT, HCPCS, and ICD-10 coding principles • 3 years of experience with hospital charging practices • 2 years of experience working with EMR related to Chargemaster, preferably EPIC (EAP) • Driving may be necessary; caregivers must comply with all state driving laws and requirements and provide proof of driver's license and auto insurance upon request • Preferred: 1–2 years of operational performance improvement and/or project management experience • Preferred: 1–2 years of coding experience
