📋 Description

• Prepare and maintain budgets for sponsored clinical trials • Comparatively review budgets offered by study sponsors • Set up study payment milestones and Billing Instructions grids in Velos and/or Microsoft Excel • Review New Study routing forms and essential study start-up documents • Analyze itemized costs and translate clinical protocols into budget milestones • Provide patient cost descriptions for informed consent forms submitted to the IRB • Update budgets, milestones, and ICF information following contract or protocol amendments • Develop and revise study budgets and integrate internal costs during new study setup • Utilize and oversee research rate pricing for Providence Health & Services clinical-trial services • Communicate with Contracts Analysts to integrate budget information into clinical trial agreements • Initiate or participate in contract negotiations • Initiate or update coverage determinations and communicate study billing structures • Support study-subject billing administration and audit billing records • Maintain records and statistics on expenses and payments • Monitor compliance of clinical expenses with budgets, billing plans, and agreements • Collaborate with research departments, hospital teams, other institutions, contract analysts, regulatory teams, program managers, and internal finance groups • Support physician investigators and develop internal cost analyses for investigator-initiated trials

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree or 4 additional years of related experience • 6 years of direct experience in budget development, preferably in a clinical trial or medical setting • Preferred: Master's Degree in Business or Healthcare Administration • Preferred: 4 years of research grants administration • Experience using Microsoft Applications, including Excel • Experience using the Clinical Trial Management System (Velos) • Ability to interpret clinical study protocols and develop budgets • Ability to manage high-volume workflows across multiple research programs
