📋 Description

• Design and develop modern, data-centric applications supporting clinical and operational healthcare workflows • Build scalable batch and streaming ELT/ETL pipelines, transformation and enrichment processes, provisioning layers, and user interfaces • Own the reliability, security, and cost-efficiency of Providence’s enterprise data platform • Automate and monitor production pipelines across cloud services and Snowflake • Triage failures, perform root-cause analyses and post-mortems, and reduce MTTR • Orchestrate schedules and dependencies using tools such as Ctrl-M • Manage connectors in Fivetran/HVR • Build operational automation with SQL, Python, and shell scripting on Linux • Implement logging, alerting, data-quality checks, audits, and runbooks • Optimize Snowflake performance and spend • Enforce access controls and secrets management and support compliance and audit needs • Partner with Product, Platform, Architecture, engineering, and analytics teams • Document procedures and provide reliable rotational on-call support • Mentor junior Data Engineers and research emerging technologies to establish repeatable processes and templates

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s in CS/Engineering or equivalent experience • Senior-level hands-on ownership of production data operations • 1 or more year of related experience in Snowflake, CTRL-M, and ADF • Strong SQL, Python, and shell scripting (Bash/PowerShell) on Linux • Experience with cloud computing and relational data warehousing • Understanding of OLAP/dimensional modeling and RDBMS fundamentals • Knowledge of semi/unstructured data such as JSON and Parquet and API integrations • Familiarity with open-source ELT/ETL tooling • Git-based workflows and CI/CD basics for data deployments • Experience building and managing data ingestion pipelines from multiple sources into cloud data platforms • Working knowledge of Snowflake database objects, warehouses, and basic query optimization • Ability to work within 65 miles of Renton, Redmond, Seattle, Portland, Napa, Irvine, or Lubbock • Master’s degree is preferred
