📋 Description

• Prepare, edit, and submit accurate and timely electronic and manual insurance claims to regulatory payers • Process primary, secondary, late charge, and corrected claims • Review and resolve billing edits in EPIC and the claims scrubber system • Verify the accuracy of claims submitted to payers • Reconcile claim runs and create electronic claim files • Resolve claims editing issues and work with third-party clearinghouse or claims scrubber vendors to produce clean claims • Identify recurring billing errors and trends and report them to the supervisor when necessary • Research and analyze coding errors • Document billing issues and trends and assist with problem solving and solutions • Process credit balances due to regulatory payers

🎯 Requirements

• Medical terminology and medical coding training in an accredited school, or equivalent on-the-job training in a billing role • 1 year of experience in hospital insurance regulatory billing, including Medicare, Medicaid and/or Labor & Industries (L&I) • Experience with automated systems preferred • Experience working with Provider One, MECA, FSS0 and/or CWF preferred • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Business Management or health care administration preferred
