📋 Description

• Accurately prepare, review, and submit patient billing claims • Review patient bills for accuracy and completeness and obtain missing information • Process electronic and paper claims using billing software • Identify, correct, and resubmit claims affected by payer edits or denials • Identify and bill secondary and tertiary insurance carriers • Follow up on outstanding claims to support timely payment and reimbursement • Communicate with insurance companies, internal departments, and clinical staff regarding billing inquiries • Maintain accurate billing documentation according to company, payer, and regulatory standards • Identify billing issues and obtain or communicate information needed for claim resolution • Prioritize work to meet deadlines and productivity expectations • Deliver customer service to patients, staff, and insurance representatives • Maintain confidentiality of company, patient, insurance, billing, and financial information • Complete required training and perform other assigned duties

🎯 Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent required • Minimum of two (2) years of experience in medical billing required • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and mathematics • Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment • Ability to communicate effectively with clinical staff, insurance representatives, patients, and other internal and external stakeholders • Working knowledge of medical billing processes and payer requirements • Ability to problem-solve and follow up on outstanding issues • Ability to accurately review and process billing and claim information • Ability to identify claim errors, missing information, payer edits, and denials and take appropriate action to support resolution • Ability to manage multiple claims, follow-up activities, and competing priorities while maintaining accuracy and productivity • Ability to learn and effectively utilize billing software, electronic systems, and other technology required for the position • Ability to maintain confidentiality and appropriately handle sensitive patient and financial information • Strong organizational and time-management skills • Completion of all required trainings as designated by the company and accreditation/licensing entities
