📋 Description

• Troubleshoot malfunctioning lab instruments or test equipment • Test mechanical mechanisms and electronic circuitry for root-cause failures • Perform hands-on repair of malfunctioning lab instruments or test equipment • Test assemblies for conformance according to manufacturer specifications • Travel domestically and internationally to provide repair support to direct market customers • Provide customers with phone and email recommendations to resolve lab instrument issues • Follow up on ongoing customer issues • Send replacement parts, refer information to the main home office for further guidance, or perform on-site resolutions • Primarily service the West Coast and support customers across North America

🎯 Requirements

• Recognized Electrical or Mechanical Qualification with apprenticeship and 5 years work experience • Work experience with technical equipment, preferably in a laboratory setting • Competent to read and interpret documents, instructions and manuals • Diplomacy and tact in reporting NCE (non-conforming events) to management with urgency • Highly proficient computer skills and typing in a Windows environment • Proficiency with Microsoft applications and relevant CRM systems • Domestic and international travel experience and ability • Clean driving record • Willingness and ability to travel domestically and internationally approximately 50% of the time annually • Applicants must reside within reasonable driving distance of a major airport
