📋 Description

• Troubleshoot malfunctioning lab instruments or test equipment and test mechanical mechanisms and electronic circuitry for “root cause” failures • Perform hands-on repair for malfunctioning lab instruments or test equipment • Test assemblies for conformance according to manufacturer’s specifications • Travel domestically and internationally to provide repair support to direct market customers • Provide customers with phone and email recommendations to resolve lab instrument issues and follow up on ongoing issues • Send replacement parts, refer information to the main home office for further guidance, or perform on-site resolutions • Primarily service the West Coast and support customers across North America

🎯 Requirements

• Recognized Electrical or Mechanical Qualification with apprenticeship and 5 years work experience • Work experience with technical equipment, preferably in a laboratory setting • Competent to read and interpret documents, instructions and manuals • Diplomacy and tact in reporting NCE (non-conforming events) to management – with urgency • Highly proficient computer skills and typing – Windows environment and Microsoft applications and relevant CRM systems • Domestic and International travel experience and ability • Clean driving record • Applicants must reside in reasonable driving distance of a major airport • Willing and able to travel domestically and internationally, 50% of the time annually • Ability to be away for up to a full week at a time as and when required
