📋 Description

• Troubleshoot malfunctioning laboratory instruments or test equipment • Test mechanical mechanisms and electronic circuitry to identify root-cause failures • Perform hands-on repairs on malfunctioning laboratory instruments or test equipment • Test assemblies for conformance to manufacturer specifications • Travel domestically and internationally approximately 50% of the year to provide repair support to direct-market customers • Provide customer recommendations by phone and email to resolve laboratory instrument issues • Follow up on ongoing customer issues • Send replacement parts, refer information to the home office for further guidance, or perform on-site resolutions • Service and repair laboratory instruments for customers across North America

🎯 Requirements

• Recognized Electrical or Mechanical Qualification with apprenticeship and 5 years work experience • Work experience with technical equipment, preferably in a laboratory setting • Competent to read and interpret documents, instructions and manuals • Diplomacy and tact in reporting NCE (non-conforming events) to management with urgency • Highly proficient computer skills and typing in a Windows environment • Proficiency with Microsoft applications and relevant CRM systems • Domestic and international travel experience and ability • Clean driving record • Willingness and ability to travel approximately 50% annually, domestically and internationally • Must reside within reasonable driving distance of a major airport
