📋 Description

• Own design at QBench as the senior design voice on a small, high-leverage product team • Partner closely with the Senior PM, product designer, engineering, sales, and customer success • Own design for major product areas end to end, from discovery and research through polished, implementation-ready UI • Plan and run continuous qualitative research to understand user needs, workflows, constraints, and opportunities • Translate research findings into problem statements, opportunity areas, and design principles • Build research artifacts including personas, journey maps, workflow diagrams, and a searchable research repository • Produce wireframes, interactive prototypes, and high-fidelity Figma designs • Partner with Product and Engineering on scope, feasibility, and trade-offs • Plan and run usability testing before and after release • Identify usability and accessibility gaps and iterate based on research, analytics, and feedback • Use Claude, Figma Make, Claude Code, ChatGPT, and other AI tools for exploration, ideation, content, synthesis, and code prototypes • Share reusable AI workflows with the team • Evolve the QBench design system, including components, patterns, tokens, and usage guidelines • Set, document, and maintain Figma and design-system standards • Partner with Engineering on feasible, reusable components • Own design-quality outcomes and delegate execution to the design contractor where appropriate

🎯 Requirements

• 6+ years in product design, ideally B2B SaaS in complex or technical domains • Figma power user with deep mastery of auto layout, components/variants/properties, variables and tokens, responsive constraints, file hygiene, annotations, and Dev Mode handoff • Ability to set, document, and maintain the team's Figma and design-system standards • Portfolio demonstrating an exceptional craft bar across shipped, end-to-end work (concept, research, high-fidelity, shipped) • Hands-on research and usability-testing experience • Demonstrated use of AI tools in professional design workflows • Excellent written and recorded communication • Thrives remote-first • Able to work within US-based time zones • Experience with workflow-heavy or regulated industries (bonus) • Experience with LIMS, laboratory software, or complex B2B systems (bonus) • Track record evolving or leading a design system (bonus) • Must meet the stated U.S. employment eligibility requirements; QBench cannot sponsor new H1B visas, but can support transfers for existing H1B holders
