📋 Description

• Develop overall conceptual design plans during the initial development phase of new projects • Support renewable energy developers and other clients with schedules and cost estimates • Design mat and pier type foundations for substation structures using software such as LPILE • Design substation structures ranging from equipment supports to overhead line towers • Develop steel structure models for rigid bus and equipment supports • Apply applicable codes and client standards to general arrangements, equipment and electrical layouts, elevation views, grading and fence plans, foundation plans and details, rigid bus arrangements, structure details, and bills of material • Perform company Quality Assurance/Quality Control processes • Establish and maintain relationships with external business partners • Present information and respond to client questions • Direct or participate in client meetings and job site visits to collect or deliver design and engineering data • Mentor less experienced staff in technical and project management skills • Coordinate with other engineering disciplines

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor of Science or Master’s in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited institution • 6+ years of experience performing civil structural engineering calculations • Active Professional Engineering (PE) license • Proficiency with drafting programs such as AutoCAD and MicroStation is a plus • Experience in transmission, distribution, and generating stations is a plus • Strong analytical and computer skills • Ability to identify necessary software to complete required design work
