📋 Description

• Design, specify, calculate settings, and coordinate protective relays and relay control schemes • Perform modeling, short-circuit, and overstressed-breaker studies • Develop protective relaying recommendations for proposed generation interconnections to clients’ electrical systems • Ensure relay settings activities, initiatives, and processes conform to company policies, objectives, and client design standards • Present technical solutions to key customers and respond to technical concerns and questions • Collaborate with Qualus groups and individuals to develop and implement technical solutions supporting Engineering Department objectives

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering with a power systems focus; an MS degree in engineering may be considered in lieu of the BS engineering degree • International engineering degrees will be considered • Minimum of 7+ years of experience in protection and control engineering and relay settings • Experience with ASPEN and/or CAPE • Professional Engineering registration or plan to become registered • Professional Engineering registration in the working state is a plus • Strong analytical and computer skills • Ability to identify necessary software for design work • Strong communication and interpersonal skills • Ability to communicate effectively with varied support personnel • Strong commitment to customer service and care • Highly motivated self-starter • Proven multitasking skills • Excellent document management and organizational skills • CYME familiarity, reclosers, sectionalizing schemes, and fuse coordination preferred
