📋 Description

• Execute commissioning and testing of protection and control schemes and systems for customers’ electric utility substations and plants • Test Intelligent Electronic Devices (IEDs), including relays, meters, RTUs, digital fault recorders/transient recorders, and multifunction media converters or intelligent logic devices • Work with SCADA systems and communications media between IEDs • Red-line design documents throughout drawing sets, including Single Line, AC/DC Elementary, Wiring, Panel Arrangement, and Bill of Material/Material List • Perform end-to-end testing • Perform manual and automated IED testing using test sets such as Doble 6150, Omicron, and Manta • Identify risks associated with testing and commissioning protection and control schemes and systems • Develop test plans and risk assessments • Lead people and tasks within larger projects and provide technical and people leadership on well-defined projects • Perform weekly site safety inspections • Lead the application of HP with Project Lead approval • Support company and customer policies and procedures

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET accredited university • 5+ years’ experience in relay testing and commissioning in substations • Experience in handling simple volt-ohm-meter and working with hand tools • Experience in reading and interpreting One Line, AC & DC Elementary and Wiring diagrams • Ability to perform regular field work in various work environments, conditions and weather • Valid driver’s license and good driving record • Ability to communicate effectively in English, including reading and writing • Willingness/ability to perform regular field work at customer electric utility substation and plant locations
