📋 Description

• Research, interpret, and document accounting treatment for complex and non-routine transactions under US GAAP • Draft technical accounting memos and position papers, and present conclusions to management and external auditors • Prepare and review external financial statements, footnotes, and disclosures; support quarterly and annual audits • Own or support monthly and quarterly reporting packages for private equity sponsors and investor stakeholders • Partner with FP&A and deal/portfolio teams on investor data requests and board reporting • Monitor emerging accounting standards and assess their impact on financial statements • Assist with technical accounting aspects of M&A, including purchase accounting and acquired-entity integration • Maintain and improve internal controls, accounting policies, and process documentation • Collaborate with Legal, Tax, and Treasury on transactions with accounting implications • Mentor junior accounting staff and contribute to close and reporting process improvements

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA required (or actively pursuing) • 4–7 years of progressive accounting experience, including public accounting (Big 4 or large regional firm) and/or a technical accounting role in industry • Strong working knowledge of US GAAP, including revenue recognition (ASC 606), leases (ASC 842), and business combinations (ASC 805) • Experience preparing or supporting external financial statements and audit deliverables • Excellent written communication skills, with the ability to draft clear, well-supported technical memos • Strong Excel skills; experience with ERP systems (Dynamics BC) preferred • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing multiple deadlines in a fast-paced, private-equity-owned environment • Prior experience in a PE-backed company or preparing reporting packages for private equity/institutional investors, strongly preferred • Familiarity with covenant compliance reporting, credit agreement requirements, and sponsor reporting timelines is a plus
