📋 Description

• Attend court hearings • Sign pleadings and settle cases • Handle all aspects of litigation and debt collection matters • Review correspondence, files, and answers • Prepare discovery and dispositive motions • Prepare for and conduct trials • Represent clients in pre-suit and post-judgment matters • Provide analysis and advice on legal and regulatory risks • Monitor changes in state and local rules • Independently manage a caseload • Develop litigation strategies complying with state and federal laws, regulations, and compliance standards • Perform additional attorney tasks as assigned

🎯 Requirements

• Admission to the Iowa Bar is required • Licensed to practice law in Nebraska • Background in civil litigation • Experience attending court proceedings • Knowledge of federal, state, and local laws • Ability to analyze case law and provide recommendations • Ability to draft legal pleadings, motions, discovery, stipulations, reports, opinions, correspondence, articles, and other documents • Familiarity with state and federal consumer laws • Ability to manage an independent caseload • Excellent oral and written communication skills • Ability to prioritize and organize high volumes of information • Ability to work in a deadline-driven environment • Knowledge of Bankruptcy Law, Foreclosure Law, FDCPA, FCRA, or TCPA is a plus • Experience in collection law and/or significant courtroom experience is a plus • Ability to work remotely from 8am to 5pm Monday through Friday with flexibility to meet business needs • Ability to occasionally lift up to 25 pounds and access and navigate organizational facilities
