⢠Identify, implement, and execute strategic development projects and opportunities in coordination with Destination Development and Royal Caribbean Group leadership ⢠Secure external and internal approvals for development projects ⢠Oversee relationships with existing joint-venture partners ⢠Plan and execute Board of Directors meetings ⢠Ensure entities maintain Royal Caribbean Group guest experience standards ⢠Develop commercial and other business strategies for strategic port development needs ⢠Manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including port authorities, trade associations, and industry brands ⢠Gather intelligence and identify win-win opportunities for partners and governments ⢠Manage projects from pre-feasibility studies through definitive designs, including RFPs ⢠Guide local consultants and expert teams, including engineers and architects ⢠Evaluate project feasibility, viability, and financial sustainability ⢠Analyze administrative obstacles and risks for obtaining required authorizations ⢠Coordinate with Legal, Deployment, Finance, Accounting, Corporate Capital, Treasury, Government Relations, Public Affairs, Communications, Product Development, Marine Operations, and Port Operations ⢠Communicate strategy and deal details to stakeholders for preparation, review, and execution of legal documents ⢠Evaluate legal contracts and synthesize key information for negotiations and strategic discussions ⢠Manage assets and implementation in existing joint ventures ⢠Participate in designated joint-venture Boards of Directors ⢠Guide local General Managers, Finance teams, and consultants on management policies and reporting ⢠Build relationships with ports, destinations, government officials, and travel industry partners ⢠Increase market share, pier availability, terminal capacity, and new business ⢠Travel and engage stakeholders within destinations; travel expected up to 50% monthly
⢠BA/BS Minimum ⢠Minimum of 10 years of experience with an international cruise line or port development entity ⢠Spanish speaker preferred; other languages are a plus ⢠Outstanding verbal and written communication, consensus-building, and presentation skills ⢠Strong organizational skills and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment with multiple projects and priorities ⢠Ability to lead a team and influence individuals of varying levels of management ⢠Task-oriented and reliable, with ability to report status updates and anticipated timelines ⢠Familiarity with different countries and cultures ⢠Ability to read, analyze, and interpret financial reports, business periodicals, contracts, legal documents, and technical reports ⢠Existing network of contacts and established business relationships ⢠Strong entrepreneurial spirit ⢠Highly motivated and self-initiating ⢠Ability and willingness to travel nationally and internationally up to 50% of the time ⢠Must currently be based in Alaska ⢠Position is not eligible for work authorization sponsorship
