📋 Description

• Lead and develop a team of experienced product managers and designers • Set strategic context, product direction, and organizational priorities • Own product-market-impact fit, organizational sustainability, and scaling successful products to more states • Drive product usability and sustained weekly active engagement • Manage and mentor PMs, designers, and emerging leaders • Build cross-functional rituals and streamline team operations • Drive adoption of shared UI standards for execution speed and consistency • Partner with engineering, data science, state engagement, and marketing • Maintain connection with frontline staff, government leaders, and justice-impacted individuals through trauma-informed discovery • Coach teams through policy and administrative constraints to create roadmaps and intuitive workflows • Model AI-assisted workflows across discovery, scoping, and prototyping • Report to the Chief Impact Officer and partner on product direction, team health, operational standards, and organizational strategy • Travel to state partners, internal gatherings, and offsites

🎯 Requirements

• 8+ years in product management or design • At least 3 years managing a team of PMs and/or designers • Experience leading senior individual contributors and emerging leaders • Experience coaching PMs and designers toward management readiness • Exceptional communication and relationship skills • Comfort operating in ambiguity and creating clarity and momentum • Strong strategic instincts and systems thinking • Builder's mindset paired with strategic rigor • Ability and willingness to travel about one trip per quarter • Experience navigating complex, multi-stakeholder environments (preferred) • Experience with mission-driven, nonprofit, or public sector organizations (preferred) • Personal or professional experience with the criminal justice system (preferred) • High-growth startup experience (preferred) • Exposure to AI-assisted product development (preferred)
