📋 Description

• Manage day-to-day publishing, optimization and flow of content across national American Red Cross communications channels • Optimize and publish news articles and press releases to redcross.org, including metadata, URLs and alternative text • Execute redcross.org editorial strategy with editorial leads, authors and analysts • Increase content visibility through search, AI-driven discovery and referral sources • Optimize, publish, organize and share photography and video assets across channels and DAM systems • Support asset organization, metadata, tagging, rights information and discoverability practices • Provide operational and surge support to the national photography team during disasters and high-volume periods • Coordinate content sharing across teams and channels during national disaster operations • Identify opportunities to repurpose and distribute stories, visuals and other assets • Create content workflows, documentation and processes • Assist with planning and pre-production for national photography shoots and coordinate shoot logistics

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Communications, Marketing, Journalism, or another related field • Minimum five years of experience in content management, digital publishing, editorial operations, or a related field • Experience publishing and managing content within a website content management system (CMS) and/or digital asset management (DAM) system • Expertise optimizing digital content for audiences and channels, including SEO, accessibility, and AI-driven search and discoverability • Strong organizational and project management skills • Ability to coordinate multiple content streams, deadlines, and stakeholders • Ability to build, document and manage clear workflows and improve processes • Comfortable learning and working across multiple content management systems, digital platforms and project management tools • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, attention to detail, and ability to multitask • Ability to work collaboratively across editorial, photo, video, social media and other communications teams • Must be authorized to work in the United States; employment visa sponsorship is not provided • Spanish communication skills preferred • Photography, videography and/or editorial writing production experience strongly preferred • Staff or volunteer management experience preferred
