📋 Description

• Develop and execute social-first content promoting the American Red Cross mission • Create innovative, platform-specific content strategies for national social media channels • Develop people-centered storytelling that increases awareness and inspires action • Serve as the primary social media contact for Training Services, Service to the Armed Forces, Volunteer Services, Youth Engagement, Archives, and Mission, Impact & Inclusion • Translate organizational initiatives and business goals into engaging social-first content • Execute social media strategies for national campaigns with the Social Engagement team and organizational stakeholders • Measure and evaluate social media performance using data and audience insights • Communicate results to stakeholders and drive buy-in • Manage social engagement projects and coordinate timely deliverables • Provide training, technical guidance, and strategic counsel to regional communicators and stakeholders

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in communications, journalism, marketing or related field • Minimum of 5 years of related experience, including social media management, editorial production, communications, marketing and/or corporate-related public relations and digital content creation • Excellent writing and editing skills, and familiarity with AP style • Strong critical thinking and strategic planning skills • Proven track record producing compelling and engaging content and strategizing around TikTok, Instagram, Threads, X, Facebook, and LinkedIn • Experience producing social video • Experience using social media management platforms like Sprout Social • Proficiency analyzing content performance, audience behaviors, and channel trends to inform content strategy • Understanding of SEO principles and content optimization for search and audience discoverability • Familiarity with and commitment to the Red Cross mission • Ability to collaborate and build positive relationships across a large, complex organization • Independent problem-solving ability • Comfortable working with and managing volunteers • Ability to multitask and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment • Ability to work irregular or extended hours during disasters or emergencies • Qualified candidates must be authorized to work in the United States • The American Red Cross does not sponsor employment visas
