📋 Description

• Lead major technology and systems initiatives across the organization • Develop and align long-term technology and operational goals with organizational objectives and strategy • Build roadmaps, timelines, and change-management plans for large-scale projects • Partner with directors and fiscally sponsored project staff on selecting and using technology platforms • Manage technology to support evolving business needs and maintain awareness of emerging tools and trends • Identify operational system needs supporting connectivity in a remote-first workplace • Manage technology contractors and support services • Oversee Salesforce CRM/database design, maintenance, and management with Grants Management and Development leadership • Advance staff technological fluency • Devise cybersecurity policies, procedures, hardware, and software solutions • Drive data privacy compliance and business continuity/disaster recovery planning • Advise leadership on technology strategy, operational risk, and resource allocation • Perform technology tasks necessary to protect data in compliance with organizational policies • Oversee staff managing the Sacramento satellite office, approximately five additional leases, and co-working locations • Support staff retreats and other in-person connections • Oversee health and safety programs with Human Resources • Manage the technology and operations budget • Serve on the organizational Leadership Team • Build cross-organizational relationships to ensure technology and operational solutions meet varied team needs • Translate between technical/operational teams and non-technical staff and leadership

🎯 Requirements

• 10+ years leading and managing technology and/or operations teams, with at least 5 years in a director-level or above role; nonprofit or mission-driven sector experience preferred • Demonstrated ability to move complex technology and systems projects from planning through implementation and adoption, including ERP, CRM/Salesforce, financial systems, or infrastructure migrations, at organizations of comparable size (50–200 staff) or larger • Experience leading the development and implementation of an organization-wide cybersecurity/data protection policy • Direct experience managing security incidents, vendor risk assessments, and compliance with relevant data protection standards • Hands-on experience evaluating and implementing enterprise software platforms, including grants management systems or other CRMs; Salesforce experience strongly preferred • 3+ years experience preferred working with a fiscal sponsor organization or comparable multi-entity structure • Experience managing vendor relationships/contracts involving IT, real estate, or professional services, with demonstrated negotiation outcomes • Experience directly supervising staff and teams • Ability to handle sensitive personnel or organizational matters • Experience presenting to or advising senior leadership/board-level audiences • Experience operating in a remote-first or hybrid and growth-stage organization • Commitment to a work environment free from discrimination, where all team members feel welcomed, valued, and respected • Positive attitude and commitment to building a positive work environment • Resume and cover letter required • Potential candidates must satisfy applicable E-Verify work authorization requirements
