• Serve as a multi-disciplinary subject matter expert in substation design with a focus on P&C and physical scopes. • Lead QA/QC reviews of substation design deliverables across both P&C and physical scopes. • Redline P&C drawing packages and cross-check with physical drawings for consistency and accuracy. • Create and review complex electrical engineering plans, details, and calculations, and schedules. • Develop and review equipment specifications, applying advanced knowledge of substation electrical design. • Review complete project documents for conformity and quality assurance. • Serve as a confident, client-facing technical resource. • Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior and staff engineers. • Collaborate with cross-discipline departments providing design context and cross-checks. • Perform field visits, with up to ~10% travel required, to validate designs.
• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or a similar discipline. • 8+ years of progressive electrical engineering experience, specifically in substation design. • Extensive, diversified knowledge of substation electrical design across both protection & control (P&C) and physical scopes. • Ability to independently apply advanced engineering principles and review complete project documents for conformity and quality assurance. • Experience owning larger or more complex projects, overseeing a small suite of projects, or supporting portfolio-level execution. • Comfort serving as a discipline or team point of contact in client-facing settings. • Ability to operate with limited oversight. • Willingness to mentor junior engineers and coordinate multi-person deliverables. • Ability to identify and solve complex problems and handle multiple projects simultaneously. • Willingness to perform field visits and travel up to ~10%.
