📋 Description

• Design, build, ship, and own end-to-end product features used by thousands of developers and hundreds of millions of end-users • Work across frontend, backend, and data boundaries to deliver reliable, high-quality systems • Own work from problem definition through production rollout, long-term maintenance, scoping, and prioritization • Partner with the Product team to scope, prioritize, and drive rollouts • Fix bugs, ship small improvements, and participate in pull-request reviews • Ship medium-sized and large projects from idea through post-launch improvements • Participate in code reviews, bug bashes, technical discussions, and architecture discussions • Debug frontend, backend, and data issues; communicate during incidents and drive preventative fixes • Engage directly with customers to understand product impact • Mentor engineers and raise the engineering bar through feedback and guidance • Spec and architect large projects, gather feedback, validate designs, and drive rollout plans • Lead initiatives to improve products and systems based on customer and business priorities

🎯 Requirements

• 8+ years of professional software engineering experience • Strong backend foundation and experience building and operating high-scale production systems • Ability to write advanced SQL statements beyond basic SELECT and UPDATE statements • Proficiency in React and experience building frontend applications • Solid HTML, CSS, and JavaScript fundamentals • Understanding of HTTP and browser–server interactions • Customer-focused product judgment and ability to scope and prioritize work • Ability to familiarize yourself quickly with unfamiliar codebases and improve them • Experience shipping meaningful user-facing features to production, monitoring usage and adoption, and improving features over time • Ability to write high-quality, well-tested code and debug issues methodically • Technologies: TypeScript, React, PostgreSQL, Python, Flask, and AWS-hosted systems • Clear real-time and asynchronous communication in a fully remote team
