📋 Description

• Provide professional field service, maintenance, and technical support for EUROIMMUN instrumentation and products • Respond to routine, emergency, and service requests and troubleshoot equipment malfunctions • Verify instrument performance before releasing devices to end users • Install, relocate, and decommission instrumentation at customer sites • Perform scheduled hardware preventative maintenance, remedial maintenance, upgrades, and warranty services • Maintain positive, professional communications with customers and colleagues • Document all activities according to company service policies, procedures, and FDA requirements • Maintain loaner equipment, test equipment, spare parts inventory, and company supplies • Provide customer training and technical support on equipment use and maintenance • Attend professional trade exhibitions as requested • Make travel arrangements in accordance with Travel Policy • Maintain working knowledge of instrumentation, products, techniques, and technical issues through training and professional development • Adhere to company policies, procedures, safety requirements, and regulatory requirements • Travel to customer sites, professional society exhibitions, and other locations as needed

🎯 Requirements

• Associate Degree or Technical Degree in Applied Science, Biology, Chemistry, Electronics, Biomedical Engineering, or STEM; or 4 years military training; or vocational education emphasizing instrumentation and computers • Two or more years experience as a field service representative or laboratory medical technologist/scientist • Theoretical and practical knowledge and working experience with diagnostic instrumentation products, specifically automated chemiluminescent (CLIA) and enzyme immunoassay (EIA) systems • Basic understanding of assays • Experience in biomechanics, service, repair, and quality control for medical laboratory instrumentation, personal computers, and application software • Knowledge of FDA regulations applicable to instrumentation service operations • Ability to function independently with minimal supervision • Ability to present training and information seminars to customers • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Suite and basic networking • Ability to work in all areas of the laboratory • Frequent overnight and possible weekend travel • International travel may be required • Ability to frequently lift and/or move instruments weighing up to 50 pounds • Field-based position
