📋 Description

• Design the member-facing mobile experience, including onboarding, access to care, navigation, communication, and between-visit engagement • Design health and wearable data experiences that help members understand relevant health information and identify next steps • Design member-facing AI experiences for intake, care navigation, education, and follow-up, with clear boundaries and human handoff • Improve connections between members and care teams, including supporting workflows • Design efficient clinical workflows for medics, providers, and care navigators across visit preparation, encounters, documentation, orders, and referrals • Design care-team coordination tools including task queues, messaging, and handoffs • Create AI-assisted care delivery experiences for summarization, documentation drafting, and follow-up with clinician review and correction • Design trust, control, consent, permission, review, correction, explanation, and recovery flows • Develop reusable accessible mobile components and interaction patterns • Own end-to-end member experience design from discovery and workflow mapping through prototypes, production-ready designs, implementation review, and post-launch iteration • Partner with Product and Engineering on discovery, alternatives, tradeoffs, implementation, and design QA • Conduct interviews, concept tests, and usability sessions with members and care-team users • Use AI to accelerate research, synthesis, prototyping, and validation while preserving research integrity, privacy, and design quality • Build realistic Figma prototypes, including representative AI outputs and failure cases • Define and document reusable design components, patterns, and guidance with Engineering • Evaluate onboarding success, task completion, comprehension, satisfaction, repeat engagement, and AI acceptance, correction, and override behavior • Work with Clinical Operations, Quality, and Compliance on safety, consent, escalation, and recovery flows • Participate in planning, backlog refinement, delivery rituals, design reviews, and learning practices

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years in UX, product design, or interaction design in a high-growth, technology-enabled environment • Record of taking work from an unclear problem through launch and iteration • Experience designing and shipping a consumer health, wellness, or fitness app used by a substantial active user base • Portfolio showing excellent interaction and visual design craft and shipped mobile experiences • Experience learning directly from users and combining qualitative findings with product data • Familiarity with iOS and Android interaction patterns • Ability to design for people with different abilities, levels of health literacy, and comfort with technology • Strong proficiency in Figma, including component-based design, interactive prototyping, and design systems • Understanding of uncertainty, disclosure, review and correction, permissions, and human handoff in AI design • Fluency with AI-enabled design, research, and productivity tools • Proven ability to partner closely with Product and Engineering on a small team • Ability to simplify complex journeys, explain design rationale, facilitate tradeoff discussions, and incorporate clinical, technical, and business feedback • Preferred: experience shipping AI-powered features • Preferred: experience in care delivery or another regulated environment • Preferred: experience helping people build useful habits or follow through on health goals • Preferred: work with wearable or device data, personalized health information, or app and human care team experiences • Preferred: clinical workflow familiarity, including documentation, referrals, care-team tasks, patient-provider messaging, FHIR, or HL7 • Preferred: early-stage design practice
