📋 Description

• Own end-to-end design of features from discovery and research through concepting, prototyping, and handoff • Lead interviews, usability studies, and conversations with educators and students • Use product analytics to inform design decisions • Build relationships with current partners and incorporate their needs into the design process • Communicate findings through written summaries, presentations, and prototypes • Translate concepts and technical requirements into sketches, user flows, prototypes, and handoff-ready files • Design intuitive and accessible interfaces aligned with brand guidelines, design system, and patterns • Design AI-enabled features for educators and students • Use AI tools to strengthen and accelerate the design process • Collaborate with educators, designers, and engineers from discovery to delivery • Create build-ready specifications and tickets for engineering • Contribute to maintenance and growth of the component library • Report to the Principal Product Designer

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in UI and UX design • Portfolio of case studies showing design process and results • Track record of leading design research, including interviews, usability studies, and partner/customer engagement • Excellent communication skills • Experience designing accessible products • Working knowledge of accessibility standards such as WCAG • Comfort using AI tools in the design workflow • Curiosity about designing AI-enabled experiences • Proficiency with Figma • Familiarity with Adobe tools • Experience collaborating with designers and engineers to create coherent, intuitive user experiences • Ability to own work independently and manage priorities in a fast-moving environment • Entrepreneurial mindset and bias toward action • Fluency in written and spoken English • Preferred: Experience designing PreK-12 edtech products, especially MTSS, CCR, or durable skill development • Preferred: Experience designing AI-enabled features or workflows • Preferred: Experience working in a startup or other fast-moving environment • Preferred: Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience in product design, interaction design, human-computer interaction, software engineering, or a related field
