📋 Description

• Lead complex, high-value outbound transactions for RingCentral’s North American public sector sales program • Serve as a trusted advisor to the US State, Local, and Higher Education (SLED) business, channel partners, and resellers • Provide go-to-market counseling, RFx support, bid protest guidance, contract negotiation, representative/certification reviews, open records request responses, and contract dispute/performance advice • Prepare, implement, and optimize forms, playbooks, processes, and procedures to scale the public sector business and mitigate risks • Track emerging public sector policies, regulations, and trends • Draft, review, and negotiate SaaS agreements, master agreements, professional services agreements, task orders, amendments, NDAs, and channel/reseller agreements • Lead end-to-end deal structuring for SLED transactions • Build and refine contracting workflows, public sector playbooks, SOPs, specialized public sector deal templates, and contracting vehicles • Train Sales, Sales Ops, and Deals Desk teams on government contracting standards, common redlines, and public procurement nuances • Support other RingCentral attorneys with public sector expertise, including international public sector procurement, channel, and strategic partners • Leverage and enhance CLM and AI tools to streamline contract operations and maintain accurate contract repositories • Collaborate with Sales, Deals Desk, Finance, Professional Services, Security, and Product to drive sales velocity and protect organizational interests

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent practical experience (Senior Contract Negotiator option) • Certified Federal Contracts Manager (CFCM) or Certified Professional Contracts Manager (CPCM) is a plus • 5+ years of extensive, hands-on experience drafting and negotiating complex commercial contracts, including at least 3+ years dedicated to U.S. Public Sector (SLED and/or Federal) contracting in a SaaS, enterprise software, or tech environment (Senior Contract Negotiator option) • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school and active bar membership in good standing, with eligibility for in-house registration (Corporate Counsel option) • 5+ years of combined experience in-house or at a law firm, with significant experience with U.S. Public Sector (SLED and/or Federal) SaaS and cloud technology transactions (Corporate Counsel option) • Direct familiarity with public procurement frameworks, government contract vehicles, reseller/channel partner deal mechanics, and government-specific compliance standards • Experience with cooperative purchasing vehicles such as NASPO and TIPS preferred • Public sector higher education experience is a plus • Experience with U.S. federal, Canadian federal/provincial/territorial/municipal, or international public procurement is a plus • Well-versed in RFx processes and best practices • Proven ability to manage aggressive sales cycles and negotiate with government agencies and opposing counsel • Track record of independently managing high-volume, quarter-end-driven, fast-paced environments • Excellent oral and written communication skills • Proficiency with Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) software, Salesforce/CRMs, enterprise tools, and AI tools
