📋 Description

• Prepare reports and analyses for the Department of Ophthalmology’s Administration and Finance functions using billing data and ad hoc reports • Prepare and analyze clinical queries • Work with department personnel to define report purposes and data requirements • Ensure data is HIPAA compliant and presented in an understandable format • Lead, develop, and implement data reporting methodologies for continuous improvement • Perform comprehensive analysis and generate reports from internal and external data sources • Design, develop, and maintain advanced reports, dashboards, and data visualizations for clinical and research activities • Collaborate with faculty, researchers, administrators, managers, IT, and data management teams • Lead cross-functional data analysis and reporting projects • Develop and manage reporting systems across multiple data platforms • Deliver timely, high-quality, reliable department data • Provide trend analysis, forecasting, and statistical reporting for strategic planning and operational decisions • Identify and communicate issues concerning survey data • Mentor lower-level staff and guide complex reporting and data analysis tasks • Perform other duties as assigned

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree and 5 years of relevant experience required, or equivalent combination of education and experience • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines • Excellent communication and presentation skills • Ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable insights • Proficiency in data analysis tools including Excel, SQL, Tableau, and Power BI • Capability for high-level independent decision making • Ability to ensure data is HIPAA compliant • Knowledge of billing data, clinical queries, reporting, dashboards, data visualizations, forecasting, and statistical reporting
