📋 Description

• Supervise financial support services employees to ensure quality service delivery and achievement of metrics and goals • Supervise staffing and workflow volumes using a workflow management system • Balance billing workloads and allocate staffing resources by shift or service line • Manage employee lifecycle activities including interviewing, onboarding, training, development, and off-boarding • Monitor client unbilled and accounts receivable inventories and ensure timely billing and collection follow-up • Ensure compliance with workflow processes from proforma creation through invoice collection • Serve as the initial point of contact for team questions and concerns • Respond to customer inquiries, communicate issues and solutions, and resolve escalated client issues • Communicate with the law firm about aged balances and elevate problem accounts • Execute administrative reports and production-related processes • Support manager with P&L activities and manage overtime and time-off impacts • Ensure e-billed invoices are transferred to the e-billing vendor timely • Enforce company and client policies, SLAs, and quality standards • Create development plans and challenging assignments with the manager • Set team goals, identify priorities, and provide ongoing performance feedback • Support client service reviews and quarterly business reviews • Maintain knowledge of client businesses and service impact • Foster cross-training and teamwork to optimize client service delivery

🎯 Requirements

• Associate or bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or a related discipline required; commensurate experience may substitute for education • Minimum five years of billing experience in a law firm or professional organization required • Minimum three years of experience supervising all or part of the billing function in a professional services environment preferred • Six or more years of billing experience preferred • Exemplary customer service and excellent verbal, written, leadership, and interpersonal skills • Proficiency with 3E, Elite, or Aderant and an industry-standard collection software tool • Proficiency with MS Excel, including pivot tables, charts, graphs, and formulas • Proficiency in MS Word and PowerPoint • Familiarity with legal terminology and legal document formats • Ability to multitask and meet stringent deadlines • Excellent organizational and time-management skills • Ability to establish team collaboration and take ownership of assignments and projects • Attention to detail required • Successful completion of a pre-employment background and drug screen • Ability to work in Columbus, Ohio, USA
