• Create and own solution and portfolio architectures and associated artifacts through all phases of the TOGAF Architecture Development Method using Cameo and ArchiMate • Participate in SAFe Agile Release Train teams in the Architect role • Provide technical leadership and guidance to agile development teams to ensure intended architecture and standards are followed • Lead technical and design discussions with business teams and executive stakeholders to align on requirements • Help manage backlog, risks, opportunities, and focus areas for visibility and prioritization • Mentor front-line technical staff toward solution architect roles • Develop consistent architecture patterns and practices across multiple teams • Support application portfolio optimization and modernization through process and system transformations • Partner with infrastructure, networking, and cloud teams on scalability, reliability, and security • Guide application deployments and system migrations with functional, program, corporate service, and outsourced provider teams • Advocate for architecture and socialize architecture contributions across Raytheon • Lead continuous improvement activities to promote productivity and reduce delivery friction • Partner with enterprise architects on shared principles, strategies, and implementation techniques • Apply formal architecture processes and create reusable building blocks and reference architectures
• University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 10 years of relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years' experience • Experience leading and implementing technology transformation initiatives • Experience architecting, designing, integrating, and deploying enterprise-grade applications • Experience deploying and hosting applications with AWS or Microsoft Azure • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government-issued security clearance • U.S. citizenship required • Active and existing DoD Secret security clearance required after day 1 • Experience working as an Architect within agile frameworks, methodologies, and tools such as Scrum, SAFe, or Toyota Production System • Executive presence and strong oral and written communication • Time and resource management, planning, and project execution skills • Critical thinking and ability to exercise independent judgment and manage complexity and ambiguity • Experience leading or working with virtual and geographically diverse teams • Ability to use abstraction and simplification to communicate complex systems and ideas • Formal architecture certifications or degrees such as Zachman Certified Enterprise Architect, TOGAF, RTX Certified Architect, or Cloud Architect certifications, with practical application • Technical expertise across applications, data analytics, cloud, infrastructure, and cybersecurity • Experience deploying and integrating large-scale software solutions in a highly regulated and secure industry through all lifecycle phases, using infrastructure as code and deployment automations • Persistence and focus on long-term, complex challenges • Empathetic, people-focused leadership
