📋 Description

• Design printed circuit boards from conception through manufacturing • Create PCB, Circuit Card Assembly, and schematic drawings for suppliers • Perform schematic capture, component placement, trace routing, and Gerber/ODB++ file creation • Use Siemens Xpedition Enterprise and BluePrint-PCB for drawings • Design rigid, flex, and rigid-flex assemblies • Complete full designs, re-spins, drawing updates, change notices, copper changes, and process improvement projects • Interface daily with Electrical, Mechanical, Components, Test, and Producibility Engineering disciplines • Capture overall design requirements while considering cost, cycle time, and producibility • Travel to El Segundo, California approximately three times per year

🎯 Requirements

• University Degree or equivalent experience • Minimum 2 years of experience • Experience in at least two of: PCB manufacturing or CCA manufacturing principles affecting circuitry and component layout; electrical design process; laying out Rigid, Flex, or Rigid-Flex boards • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance • U.S. citizenship required • Active and existing DoD Confidential security clearance required after day 1 • Working knowledge of Analog, Digital including DDR, RF, Power, mixed technology, multi-layer designs, and HDI technology • Technical PCB design skills using the Siemens design toolset, including Xpedition Layout, schematic capture, placement, routing, auto-router, constraint manager, and library tools • BluePrint experience for complex PCB and CCA drawings • Gerber and ODB++ export experience • Valor NPI, Design for Manufacturing rule sets, and Design Rule Checking software • Ability to understand and interpret PCB and CCA drawings • Familiarity with IPC 6012 and IPC 6013 • Working knowledge of military and commercial design standards, GD&T techniques, and electronic packaging producibility • Knowledge of RF circuitry and filter layout considerations • Working knowledge of operating system concepts, implementations, and network services related to Microsoft Windows suites
