📋 Description

• Manage the procurement team and establish effective performance measures and metrics • Ensure team members have the knowledge and skills to issue purchase orders under FAR/DFAR • Provide on-the-job training and support to address skill and knowledge gaps • Work with stakeholders and subject matter experts to clarify, define, and refine supply scope, purchasing requirements, and statements of work • Manage compliance with procurement processes and ensure required approvals are in place before purchase order release • Engage specialists to address conflicts and risks involving supplier terms and conditions that vary from standard company purchase order terms • Support supplier engagement activities, including negotiations and supplier performance management • Lead and manage procurement processes, projects, and tactics • Manage supplier recovery efforts, risks and opportunities, and internal customer and supplier relationships • Recruit, train, mentor, and coach team members and build an organized team structure

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of ten (10) years of prior relevant experience, or an advanced degree in a related field and a minimum of seven (7) years’ experience • U.S. Person (U.S. citizen, permanent resident, refugee or asylee) or eligible to obtain necessary export authorizations • Availability to travel at a minimum of 25% • Significant knowledge leading and managing procurement processes, projects, and tactics • Significant experience with proactive supplier management, leadership engagements, and supplier recovery efforts • Experience managing CPFF/IF/AF and FFP purchase orders under FAR/DFAR with build-to-print/spec and SSOWs • Broad knowledge and skills in procurement and contracting (FAR/DFAR) • Experience working with cross-functional teams, including Finance, Program Management, Engineering, and Material Program Managers • Experience in procurement activities and managing internal customer and supplier relationships • Experience managing geographically dispersed teams and influencing parties at an operational level within a compliance framework • Experience managing financial and operational Risks and Opportunities • Supplier and customer negotiation experience • In-depth understanding of defense technologies and import/export • Experience recruiting, training, mentoring, and coaching a team and building an organized team structure • Executive-level presentation and communication skills • U.S. citizenship is required to access information under this program/contract
