📋 Description

• Review and approve suppliers’ systems for chemical and metallurgical process control • Conduct product and process reviews and surveillance at various suppliers • Review and approve suppliers’ metallurgical and chemical processes • Participate in chemical and metallurgical issues and investigations at suppliers that could impact P&W • Conduct training on P&W quality material control system requirements at suppliers • Participate in approval of engineering-controlled processes for critical applications • Partner with other P&W business units to improve overall supplier quality • Assist suppliers with non-conformance documentation preparation • Act as a resource and coach for root-cause corrective-action investigations • Interface with all levels of employees at suppliers • Participate in continuous improvement activities • Participate in team audits and manufacturing process reviews • Travel frequently throughout Connecticut, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Vermont, and Maine

🎯 Requirements

• U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years experience • Degree in Material Science/Engineering preferred • Experience with testing and control of raw materials, finished product, and processing • Knowledge of chemical/metallurgical processes, including laser machining, electro-discharge machining, electro-chemical grinding, brazing, coatings, welding, and heat treatment • Knowledge of product integrity • Knowledge of quality control • Experience with surveillance of suppliers’ quality systems • Experience auditing suppliers’ processes and products • Must live in the Northeast region covering CT, MA, NH, VT, and ME • Minimum 30% travel
