📋 Description

• Build and evolve scalable referral pathways for partners • Develop systems for referral management, partner data management, and patient booking experiences • Design durable systems and deliver software impacting partner referrals and patient care experiences • Partner with the Engineering Manager, product managers, designers, and engineers on technical decisions • Lead complex technical projects across teams • Mentor engineers, unblock peers, and raise the technical bar across Rula • Leverage AI-assisted development tools such as Claude Code to improve velocity and decrease time-to-value • Shape technical scope, estimates, execution, and evolving roadmaps

🎯 Requirements

• 8+ years of related professional experience • Deep understanding of modern application design architecture, API design patterns, security, performance, and scaling • Experience designing and evolving system architectures and evaluating tradeoffs • Proven ability to lead complex technical projects across teams, shaping scope, estimates, and execution • Ability to align technical decisions with business goals • Excellent communication skills and ability to build positive relationships with partners and stakeholders • Fluency with AI-assisted development tools, including Claude Code • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, related field, or comparable work experience (preferred) • Familiarity with modern infrastructure and tooling (preferred) • Experience with distributed systems development, especially event-based systems (preferred) • Experience building systems that interface with or integrate with third parties (preferred) • Ability to troubleshoot complex production issues and advocate for reliability improvements (preferred) • Experience in early-stage and/or high-growth startup environments and navigating ambiguity (preferred) • Must be based in the United States; currently not hiring in Hawaii
