📋 Description

• Lead, coach, and grow a team of analysts and BI practitioners • Hire, develop, retain, prioritize, and raise the technical bar of analytics practitioners • Drive company strategy by identifying data levers, quantifying opportunities, and delivering actionable recommendations • Own the core metric layer, including utilization, retention, net revenue retention, margin, and marketplace supply/demand health • Set the analytics roadmap with Product, Finance, and Go-to-Market leadership • Analyze consumption-based revenue and customer behavior, including cohort retention, usage expansion and churn, savings plan adoption, spot versus reserved mix, and serverless workload economics • Build a self-serve analytics layer for routine stakeholder questions • Partner with Data Engineering on modeling, data quality, freshness, and SOC 2 requirements • Establish experimentation and measurement practices and interpretation guardrails • Represent analytics in executive and board-level reporting • Translate ambiguous business questions into analysis and clear recommendations

🎯 Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in analytics, business intelligence, or data science, including ownership of business-critical metrics with executive visibility • 3+ years of experience managing analytics or BI teams • Deep hands-on fluency in SQL and modern analytics engineering practices, including dbt or equivalent • Warehouse expertise for modeling and performance trade-offs • Experience with usage-based, consumption, or marketplace business models • Experience with utilization, unit economics, usage expansion and contraction, and two-sided supply and demand dynamics • Ability to define a metric layer from a messy starting point and drive organization-wide adoption • Strong judgment and urgency • Ability to form views from evidence and data and optimize for business outcomes • Ability to thrive in startup environments • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills • Ability to work across Product, Finance, Data Engineering, Security, Go-to-Market, and Supply • Successful completion of a background check • U.S. work authorization; Runpod is unable to sponsor employment visas • Advanced degree in Statistics, Economics, Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related field, or equivalent significant industry experience in analytics leadership (preferred)
