📋 Description

• Support the underwriter in the decision-making process by assessing and analyzing underwriting applications and forms • Analyze quality, quantity, and profitability of highly complex risks underwritten • Prepare and present reports to management • Review submission information and account information with the underwriter • Coordinate quoting, binding, and issuance processes • Research and apply appropriate rates, coverages, and policy forms • Issue cancellation, nonrenewal, and reinstatement notices • Develop and maintain relationships with underwriters, producers, brokers, reinsurers, agencies, and large producers • Maintain accurate file documentation according to company guidelines • Conduct data analysis and contribute to risk assessment • Handle special underwriting projects and other assigned duties

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree required; Business Administration or Risk Management preferred; related discipline or commensurate work experience considered • 1+ year related experience or experience in a similar role • Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects • Advanced technical expertise and underwriting skill • High level of knowledge of insurance and underwriting principles, practices and procedures • Minimum requirements for state P&C and/or surplus line licenses • Associate in Insurance Services (AIS) preferred • Knowledge of insurance regulations, risk evaluation, policy language, data analysis, portfolio management, and documentation • Project management and time management skills • Negotiation, presentation, interpersonal, collaboration, and relationship-building skills
