📋 Description

• Lead planning, evaluation, and assessment of corporate initiatives • Analyze and propose strategic alternatives to enhance Ryder's market position • Provide financial and analytical support to Senior Financial Management, Group Logistics Managers, and Logistics Managers • Perform forecasting, business planning, and branch performance analysis • Work with Group Logistics Managers and Logistics Managers to identify and recommend cost/productivity improvements • Perform month-end closing activities, including journal entries, variance explanations, and general ledger research • Handle customer invoicing, revenue posting to the general ledger, and monitoring of monthly aging reports • Provide financial training to operations staff on policies, procedures, and financial tools • Conduct operations audits as needed for Sarbanes-Oxley compliance • Liaise with Ryder's Shared Services Center and Corporate Accounting group

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in business administration, finance, accounting, or related field • Minimum of 4 years of Finance and/or Accounting experience • Strong understanding of income statements and balance sheets • Intermediate MS Excel skills, including large data-set analysis, VLOOKUP/HLOOKUP, pivot tables, filtering options, and waterfall charts • Experience in transportation/logistics industries preferred • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of management • Problem-solving skills, self-motivation, and ability to prioritize workload • Ability to think and plan proactively and innovatively • Ability to work with minimal guidance when necessary • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate complex financial/operational information • Intermediate MS Word skills • Intermediate MS PowerPoint skills • Experience with MS Access and/or other database tools helpful but not necessary
