📋 Description

• Handle incoming calls and chats about toxic exposures, poisonings, adverse events, and general pet care questions • Triage cases • Provide accurate medical, health, and safety information • Document records in an electronic database • Support pet owners through stressful situations • Complete assigned full-time or part-time schedules, including evenings, overnight shifts, weekends, and rotating holidays • Complete 4–6 weeks of paid full-time training

🎯 Requirements

• Credentialed veterinary technician (CVT/LVT/RVT) • Active CVT/LVT/RVT license; maintain active licensure throughout employment • At least 1 year of veterinary clinic/hospital experience • Emergency/critical care experience is a plus for some roles • Ability to work varying shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays • Strong keyboarding and computer skills, including Microsoft Office and common software • Excellent written and verbal communication; professional, empathetic, and composed under pressure • Strong attention to detail and accurate data entry; ability to multitask while maintaining quality • Math proficiency across units of measure, including fractions, decimals, ratios, and percentages • Ability to gather, analyze, and synthesize complex or diverse information • Ability to follow and apply instructions in written, oral, or diagram form • Customer service-focused attitude with a genuine commitment to caller well-being • Ability to maintain confidentiality of client, product, and company information • Reliable internet meeting SCI’s IT requirements • Dedicated, distraction-free workspace during all working hours, with no other responsibilities during shifts
