• Develop and lead a comprehensive enterprise-wide risk strategy aligned with the company’s live-event mission • Partner with executives, venue operators, and regional leadership to embed risk awareness into business planning and decision-making • Advise senior leadership on risk trends, emerging threats, and mitigation priorities • Oversee risk assessments for venues and live events, including concerts, festivals, touring shows, sports events, and special productions • Partner with the internal security team on crowd management, security, and emergency response protocols • Assess and manage risks related to talent, staging, pyrotechnics, weather, and other operational hazards • Design and manage global insurance programs • Negotiate insurance coverage, terms, and premiums with brokers and underwriters • Review event contracts, vendor agreements, and talent deals for indemnification, hold-harmless, and insurance provisions • Lead the claims management process, including reporting, documenting, tracking, and resolving claims • Collaborate with internal teams, insurers, legal counsel, and third-party claims administrators • Monitor compliance with international, national, and local live-event regulations • Maintain the enterprise risk management framework across business units and geographies • Align risk mitigation with strategic growth initiatives in partnership with finance, legal, and operations • Supervise employees through interviewing, hiring, training, work assignment, performance appraisal, rewards, discipline, and problem resolution
• Bachelor’s degree in risk management, Business Administration, Safety Engineering, or related field required • Master’s degree (MBA or similar) preferred • Professional certifications such as ARM, CRM, FRM, CPCU, or CEM strongly preferred • Minimum 15 years of progressive risk management leadership experience • At least 5 years in the live event, sports, entertainment, or large-scale public gathering sector • Proven experience managing global safety and risk programs for high-attendance, high-profile events • Demonstrated success in insurance program design, contract risk review, and large-scale incident management • Deep understanding of crowd safety, event operations, and regulatory compliance in the live event industry • Strong negotiation skills with insurers, vendors, and public agencies • Ability to make sound decisions in high-pressure, time-sensitive situations • Excellent cross-cultural communication skills for operating in diverse global markets • Ability to perform each essential duty with energy and enthusiasm • Must be able to perform the physical demands of the role, with reasonable accommodations available
