📋 Description

• Build and establish a mature cybersecurity architecture practice • Establish specialization domains across Cloud Security, Application Security, Network Security, and other cybersecurity disciplines • Produce holistic architectures and reference architectures • Influence roadmaps to meet business objectives, address the threat landscape, and evaluate the risk register • Bridge architecture and engineering by translating abstract concepts into realistic, valuable, viable solutions • Review active engagements and environments to expose gaps and opportunities • Enrich architectural opportunities with metadata to surface high-impact initiatives • Secure leadership alignment and funding for prioritized initiatives • Run hands-on projects • Mentor and guide peer architects and engineers • Collaborate across Cybersecurity, IT, and Engineering as a technical ambassador • Propose an architecture practice strategy within 30 days • Operationalize the architecture practice and produce initial reference architectures and domain roadmaps within 90 days • Compile and present a prioritized cybersecurity opportunity roadmap to executive leadership within 180 days

🎯 Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in cybersecurity, enterprise architecture, or security engineering • Proven track record of contributing to, establishing, or leading an architecture practice • Deep expertise across multiple security domains, including Cloud Security, Application Security, Identity Security, and Network Security • Experience developing reference architectures and strategic roadmaps • Strong technical background and ability to remain hands-on • Ability to translate abstract architectural concepts into viable engineering solutions • Experience aligning security initiatives with business objectives • Experience securing leadership buy-in and funding • Familiarity with industry frameworks such as SABSA, NIST, and ISO • Strong interpersonal and teaming skills • Ability to mentor peers, lead cross-functional initiatives, and influence stakeholders without direct authority • Ability to operate in an agile, fast-paced environment
